The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, is currently on an official visit to the city of Khujand, Tajikistan.
A complex consisting of five exhibition halls showcasing the history and culture of the Tajik people has been established in the area of the Khujand Fortress. In eight courtyards, artisans are engaged in calligraphy, painting, the weaving of adras weaving, embroidery, stone carving, blacksmithing, and pottery.
The heads of state inspected exhibitions of handicrafts, agricultural products, and national cuisine from three countries and enjoyed artistic performances.
As part of this visit, a handicraft exhibition has also been organized. Artisans from Uzbekistan, members of the “Hunarmand” association, are participating in this exhibition.
The exhibition showcases Uzbek folk applied art, including miniature painting, chasing, embroidery, pottery, wood carving, hand-weaving, golden sewing, knife making, and souvenir item production.
